Engagement Session at The Pearl San Antonio {JP + Erica}

If it weren't for the help of a matchmaker couple, Erica and J.P. may never have found each other and fallen head over heels in love. They are so sweet together, that you have to feel grateful for the little miracles that have led to such a perfect union. I had the pleasure of photographing this cute couple, and capturing that look she only gives him, that smile she draws from him.

They chose The Pearl to shoot their engagement session. The urban, industrial architecture balanced with a rustic Texan atmosphere perfectly represents their lifestyle. When not working hard on their careers, J.P. and Erica enjoy exploring San Antonio and the surrounding Texas Hill Country, visiting vineyards and checking out the local culinary scene.

They plan to marry in Boerne, Texas next fall, and I can't wait to capture their beautiful wedding! Congratulations to J.P. and Erica!

New Year's Eve Wedding at Southwest School of Art

Drew and Nancy met in middle school and were always by each other's side as they grew into the strong young adults they have become. Drew proposed to Nancy on New Year's Eve in 2015, so it was only fitting that they would plan an elegant New Year's Eve Celebration to bring their family and friends together for their wedding at Southwest School of Art. Sparkly gold, berry and pink hues were used in the bride's bouquet, and reception decor. The bridesmaids all looked so beautiful and ready to bring in the New Year in their metallic gold gowns. This was a spectacular party and beginning of a new marriage, new beginning and new year. Congratulations to The Stocktons!

Southwest School of Art Wedding to DIE for! {Bianca + Marcos}

Bianca and Marcos had an amazing wedding at Southwest School of Art with a #DiaDeLosGonzales theme. Red roses, halloween treats, pumpkins, and twisted branches set the scene for the haunted nuptials. Rene Esparza of Texas Wedding Ministers offered their beautiful love story during the ceremony. Anne Marie's Catering put together a decadent dinner scene with amazing food and drink and Lumen Events ensured the party stayed fresh all night long. Congratulations to Bianca and Marcos! Excited for Greenery!

I was just thinking to myself the other day, I have a lot of greens in my work. If I walk into a store and see a random product in green, my tendency is to buy it because it is GREEN. I'm also very particular about how I choose to edit my greens in my work. I've noticed that many publications use wedding photos with very muted greens, more mint or sage than how I really see them. I love bold greens to punch through. Green means life, love, happiness to me. This color truely makes my heart sing! So I'm excited to hear the color Greenery has been selected as the 2017 Pantone Color of the Year!!!

Do you know what this means? It means I will be in heaven when I get to shoot green wedding details, and choose emerald maternity gowns, and shoot emerald engagement rings and wrap my newborns in greenery inspired mohair knits! 2017 is going to be a beautiful year!
